Scanlife 2d barcode scanner not available for the Nokia C3??! It now successfully loaded!

I thought I can test this business utility barcode scanner in my Nokia C3 but the web page says it is not available for the C3!!! The webpage for this utility is at http://store.ovi.com/content/2322/

Seems that there are Java apps for the S40 mobile operating system which are not available for the C3!
But a commenter said that it worked in his/her C3 phone! I would like to hear from the others. Of course I will try it again asap.

I just did and gosh! it worked if you do it from Opera and type the address www.2dscan.com as our helpful commenter suggested. ThatÅ› a beauty from our reader Cesaritox09!. But I am wondering why Nokia Ovi store fails! Read the comments how to do it. Thanks again Cesaritox09! Let us see if it really works!

  1. I already uploaded to my Nokia C3-00 and it did work!
what you need to do is enter through your mobile browser (it could be Opera Mini or the Nokia Browser) and type:
    www.2dscan.com
you will be able to download and install it on your phone.

  3. Ya know what I did ? .. I remembered that my old Motorola phone used a lot of Java .... so I took a chance and downloaded the one designed for the Java Platform... seemed to have worked on my Nokia C3 okay ...

  4. well -- it downloaded, and installed, and it will take control of the camera -- but it can't translate the barcode ....

  5. The app says it's for auto-focused equipped phones .. the c3-00 doesn't have Auto-Focus -- maybe that's the problem ...

    It also doesn't have voice-tag so you can't voice-dial --

and the video recorder, even with an 8gig card, will record 15 seconds of video ...

at least, so far as I can tell

  6. No ... I was wrong about the video recorder - there is a setting under Video Recorder for Options, one of which is record for as long as you have storage for the vid ...

I haven't max'd it out .. but if you have a mostly free 8 Gig card, you should get some decent length...
